A body scrub is used to get rid of dead skin cells that are found on the skin surface.This procedure helps to reduce water loss through the skin and results in a healthy skin. Body scrubs results in improved blood circulation and elimination of toxins from the body through the skin. It also helps to reduce body stress and makes the skin more elastic.

You can make your own body scrub at home using the following ingredients; 2 table spoons of ground oats, 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of aloe Vera gel, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of almond oil and 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice.

Steps of Making the Home Made Body Scrub

1. Mix all the ingredients in a large vessel to form a thick paste.

2. Apply this paste on your skin. This is best done after one has had a shower. Your skin needs to be moist before you apply this mixture.

3. Massage the skin using the tips of your fingers as you follow a circular motion.This will help to remove the dead cells in your skin.

4. Finally use some warm water to wash your skin.

You can also prepare a chocolate body scrub. For this type you will require a cup of brown sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla oil and 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Steps. 1.Mix the preparation in a bowl.

2.Apply the paste onto your skin usually after you have had a bath and massage it using the tips of your fingers.

3.Use warm water to rinse your skin.

You can also prepare a exotic coffee scrub by mixing a cup of finely ground coffee and half a cup of fresh yogurt. Use the same steps as highlighted before and you will achieve the same results.
